It's Christmas! Weekly Recap

Monday
After getting ready, my mum dropped me off at Cafe 43 for lunch with my oldest friend, Hannah. We had a lovely date and yummy cupcakes to finish. I love the cafe as it became a tradition after high school.

We then went back to her house to wait for my mum. it's always nice seeing her family and it was nice to catch up with John.

When mum picked me up, we headed back to the cafe because I'd left my scarf and then quickly packed an overnight bag ready for dad to pick us up. I love seeing family and haven't seen anyone on dad's side of the family all year so we headed to my Aunt's and Uncle's house to see them and the little kids. They were seriously so sweet and fun, despite the initial shyness. I love them!

Tuesday
Mum's internet is terrible so I'm totally behind on YouTube so I managed to catch up a little while at dad's. While waiting for someone to fix the washing machine, we watched a film together and then Karen got back from work. We headed to Xscape and went for the 3 course meal at ASK Italian. It was really nice but what was more fun was their take props to take pictures with!

Wednesday
I had my first PJ day since I was sick and it was the best. We had a family meal in the evening and then mum, Jess, their partners and I watched a film in front of the fire in the lounge. It was a really good film called 'Before I Go To Sleep' and I was actually really impressed with both the story and the acting.

Thursday
I finally did some work and finished Lecture Casting the final 2 lectures that I've still yet to gone. I feel so much better but at the same time, I still have done any revision notes for this current NMB module and I feel so stressed that I'm so far behind.

My great aunt, mum's cousin and grandma came over for lunch which was nice. Robert, is currently living in Germany after moving out earlier this year so it was nice to catch up as he didn't manage to make it to Rogerthorpe last week. It was really nice to chat and they stayed for the longest time! We just talked and even delved into a little bit of family history.
In the evening we ended up taking Holly, my poor sweet baby, to the vet's because her cyst had come back. She was so good and luckily it was a really quick appointment. THe vet just drained the fluid but there was a lot! Over 50ml...

When we got back, we nipped to the White Rose Centre to grab all the food for next week, New Year's Eve and most importantly Christmas Day!

Friday
Finally a day to just relax! I finally edited and uploaded my YouTube video for next week and had wayyyy too much fun editing the thumbnail.

Saturday
Is it Christmas yet? We had a pretty relaxing day just doing prep work for tomorrow in terms of food and my hair but then we headed out to my Aunt's house for a family-friend party which we just hung out at and chatted. My sister, her boyfriend, my cousin and I actually ended up going upstairs and getting away from it all for just a bit. It was crazy crowded!

When we got back, we even did facemasks before mum surprised us with one Christmas Eve gift. So special.

Sunday
It's Christmas! Stay tuned for the total blog post but I had lots of fun. We woke up early, opened presents, got ready for our meal and then helped set up nibbles and the final touches to the meal. When the family arrived, we chatted before sitting down and eating and then ate a delicious banquet. To end, we watched TV, chatted and then played some poker.
