DIY: Homemade Lip Scrub

So this morning when I woke up, my lips were so dry and cracked. I left all my lip scrub and lip balms at university and since I haven't and can't be bothered to go out and buy some I decided to make my own lip scrub.
I love making homemade stuff, especially when it is super easy!

Recipie:
1. Add sugar: caster or granulated
2. Add olive oil
3. Add a drop of honey
4. If you want to make it prettier or tastier add food colouring and/or food flavourings. I tend to add red food colouring and strawberry extract. Vanilla is nice too, it makes your lips tingle!

The sugar is the scrub to gently remove the dead skin. Caster sugar is finer so slightly less abrasive hence good for people with sensitive skin. The granulated sugar is more harsh but for winter months I prefer it!
The olive oil is the moisturising part; the honey is to stick it all together and for flavour.
Depending on how much you want to make depends on the amount of scrub you want to make. You need to make sure you coat all the sugar in oil so I tend to have 2 teaspoons of sugar to 1 teaspoon of oil.

And that's it! Super easy to make and you can use the things lying around the house.

At university I have a little tub which I keep mine in. While I'm at home, I'm just using a plastic food bag.

This time I just made a simple vanilla essence one:
